Jamie S. Wharton
June 19, 1956 -- September 30, 2000

Jamie S. Wharton, 44, of Washington, died Saturday, September 30, 2000, in her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 19, 1956, in Washington, a daughter of Ruth Riffle Wharton of Washington and the late James M. Wharton.
Ms. Wharton was a graduate of Trinity High School and Washington Hospital School of Radiology. She was employed as an ultra sonographer at Canonsburg General Hospital and was a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
She was a life-long member of First Christian Church in Washington, where she served as a deaconess and was quite active.
Ms. Wharton was a member of 84 Fitness Center and enjoyed photography and the outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are three sisters, Rebecca J. Wharton and Tracey J. Wharton, both of Washington and Cynthia J. Wilson of Columbus, Ohio; her maternal grandfather, Clyde L. Riffle of Washington; and three nieces, Beth Paraska and Megan and Morgan Wilson; and a nephew, Mitchell Wilson.
