Janet Meeks Hannen Bickus

Janet Lynn Hannen Bickus, 45, of Lock Port, Ill., formerly of Washington, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill. She had been ill for a year and a half, never regaining her health after a liver transplant.

She was born September 7, 1956, in Washington, a daughter of Wilbur Earl and Margaret Louise Laws Meeks of North Franklin Township.

Mrs. Bickus was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Washington before moving to Chicago.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School and received an associate's degree from California University of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Bickus was employed by IBM as an information technology specialist for five years and formerly worked at Black Box in Lawrence for 15 years.

On November 18, 1976, she married Fred Hannen, who died September 21, 1995.

On August 30, 1997, she married Gregg Anthony Bickus, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Kaleb D. Hannen of Canonsburg and Travis J. Hannen of Washington; two brothers, Roy Meeks of Washington and Dale W. Meeks of Mesquite, Texas; her grandmother, Dessie Anderson Meeks; and two nephews.
