D. Steele McCardle

Donald Steele McCardle, 48, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, of complications from a stroke.
He was born January 14, 1956, in Washington, a son of the late Earl N. Sr. and Ellen Steele McCardle.
Mr. McCardle was a 1974 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1978 graduate of West Virginia Institute of Technology with a degree in mining engineering.
As a member of Carpenters Local 2274, he worked extensively on bridge renovation on Interstates 70 and 79 and other major construction projects in Pittsburgh.
Mr. McCardle loved to cook and was a 1997 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts.
He was a member of Church of the Covenant in Washington.
Surviving are a son, Jonathan McCardle of Delmar, NY; two sisters, Martha Ellen McCardle of Washington and Susan Baran of Harwich, MA; and a brother, Earl N. McCardle Jr. of Hollywood, FL.
