Friends,
The
month of January and even part of December has been a nightmare for me. I
have been in the hospital almost all of January. I had a obstriction in my
small intestine due to the Crohn's disease I have. I had major surgery
last week and almost died before they cut me open. I now know what my
father went through in 1992. I am home trying to get stronger, but I am
not a patient person. I have had 2 setbacks since coming home. First
I had a pain in the ass, which they think was a pinched nerve in my butt, due to
the way they twist your body in the OR. Then I developed a UTI from all of
the meds they have me on.
I
had wanted to be back to work tomorrow, but I am taking another week off.
I
never thought I could be this weak. I do one simple thing and I have to
lay down and rest. This has really kicked me to the curb. The only good
thing is that I have lost almost 40 lbs.
I
have not responded to emails, phone calls, etc, as I just am not myself.
Please bear with me, as I try to get back to some sort of normal life. I
have never had to depend on anyone. My friends here have been wonderful.
Here
is to better health in 2009.
The
thing that gets me through is knowing that the STEELERS are in the Super Bowl!!!
